First Match of the season for U15 girls took place on Tues 14 July against Maiden head and Bray. Wargrave won the toss and put M&B into bat. Good bowling performances by the girls resulted in us restricting them to 71 runs off of their 20 overs. Wickets for Debut Poppy Tulloch (2 wickets 4 catches), Amy Bennett (2 for 8 runs) and Ruth Payne (3 for 9 runs).

The girls put their heads down and executed a well worked plan to chase the target down in the 13th Over. Good performance by Ruth Payne, 30 not out which broke the camels back and allowed Millie, Georgia, Lara and Amy to score the remaining runs.

The season continues this week with more u15 games against Falklands and a return match against Maidenhead and Bray.

The big one however, is this Wednesday which is the ladies Inaugural hardball game against Binfield Women 1st XI. It is a Friendly T20 starting at 6pm and will be a home game. The team will be captained by Berkshire Ladies 1st XI player Ashleigh Muttitt who has joined the team to help grow our women's section for this year. We have two ladies who have made the leap from softball to hardball this season and supporting them will be majority of our U15 and U17 players.
