On winning the toss, Wargrave chose to bat first and scored steadily to reach 107 for 4 in their 20 overs. Imran Malik starred, batting beautifully to score 50 retired, but none of the other batsmen really got going meaning that the team posted a score that was a little under par on a fine Finchampstead wicket.
However, the bowling started splendidly with Chinmay Kale picking up two quick wickets and Sami Colbourne three wickets, leaving Finch reeling at 56 for 5. However, a few lusty blows from their middle order batsmen combined with some loose bowling and a number of fielding errors resulted in Finch overhauling the Wargrave total with just one ball left to bowl.
Again, special credit goes to Alex Bishop who kept wicket marvellously again, all seven bowlers who got Wargrave so close to winning the game, and to Imran who captained and batted superbly.
